The Goshiki-numa Lakes, located in Bandai-Asahi National Park in Fukushima Prefecture, is a natural miracle formed when Mount Bandai erupted a water vapor in 1888.

It consists of many lakes and marshes with different colors, such as Bishamon Marsh, Akanuma and Midoro Marsh, which are less than 10 minutes on foot from the hotel, and has been designated as a "Special Protected Area" that requires particularly strict protection in national parks. As a result, access to the general public is strictly restricted, and underwater photography is impossible without the special permission of the Ministry of the Environment.

Mr. Seio Nakamura is one of the few photographers who can take underwater photography with special permission from the Ministry of the Environment to pass on this precious natural landscape to future generations. From 1988 to the present, we have been pursuing the appearance of Goshiki-numa in the four seasons. We capture the underwater world that we cannot usually see, such as the light injecting from the bottom of the lake, the greenery of the trees reflected in the water, and the state of the lake bottom that changes every season, with a spectacular beauty.
